For Learning Disability Week 2026, we’ve created a free A4 poster to help schools and colleges reflect on an important question:
Do we see the whole learner?
Too often, learners with SEND are seen through their diagnosis, support plan or barriers first. These things matter, but they are only one part of the picture.
What we might not see straight away is how a learner communicates best, what they are good at, what support helps them take part, and what they could grow into with the right opportunities.
This poster is designed to support conversations between teachers, Careers Leaders, SENCOs, work experience leads and wider support teams. It encourages staff to look beyond diagnosis and build a fuller profile of the learner — through their voice, strengths, support needs and potential.
