SEND Careers framework

Same and Different

Talentino!’s Same and Different model, adopted by the CEC, is the national SEND careers model that identifies and delivers careers activities designed to help young people with SEND prosper.

The concept of ‘same and different’ is something we have thoroughly developed from our work in all schools to celebrate individuality.

Why we need to be aware of the barriers for a young person with SEND

Understanding exactly who you are working with is the first crucial step in creating positive career possibilities for young people with SEND.

Being aware of the barriers a student may face can allow us to conduct an individual careers approach that incorporates additional time and support when it is needed.
